「かいじゅうたちのいるところ」、これは、私がカナダのデイケアで生徒に読んでいた絵本である。もちろん、カナダ在住時はカナダ人ばかりなので、私は英語版の「Where the Wild Things Are」を読んであげていたものだ。
その物語は日本でもかなり有名。


シネマブレンドという海外のメディアからの「かいじゅうたち～」の情報だが、英語。
なので、翻訳します。私が。え？yahoo翻訳とか使ってるんでしょ？　使いません。
はあぁぁ、英語はできてデフォですよー。

Second Look: Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are

If there is one movie that's bound to win a most creative or most unique award next year, it's Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are. It's an adaptation of the beloved children's book by Maurice Sendak and it follows the adventures of Max who creates his own world in his mind inhabited by fabulous wild creatures. Spike Jonze, known for creating some of the most vividly unique music videos on the planet (including Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice", Daft Punk's "Da Funk", and Weezer's "Buddy Holly") is directing his latest film since Adaptation in 2002 and Being John Malkovich in 1999. Curious to see what the creatures will look?

Warner Brothers has released the very first two stills from the movie and they certainly are eye brow raising. The first still was released over the summer, but another one has been added. Apparently Max is an actual actor, but the creatures are a combination of practical puppets and CGI. Most of the film features the giant puppets interacting with Max, and later on the faces will be added via CGI with the voices from other actors, including Forest Whitaker and James Gandolfini.

Where the Wild Things Are (1988/09) Maurice Sendak 商品詳細を見る This is a great story.A boy had a trouble with his mom because he turned into a monster and said "I will eat you up" to his mom. His mom put him in the room and closed the door. The story will start when the grounded boy creates his own imaginary world of monsters in his mind.

邦題は忘れました。原題は、上の通りです。

狼の着ぐるみをきて暴れる男の子。
母親に対して、
食べてやる！
と　暴言を吐く。

母親に叱られ、一人部屋で過ごす男の子。

寂しさからか、
男の子の想像する怪物の国が、
男の子の部屋で、
徐々に現実になっていった。

あたりは、まったくのジャングル。

そこには、怪物がすんでいた。

少年は、王様だと言い張り、
怪物たちを支配する。
しかし、
少年は自分の腹の虫までは支配できなかったようだ。

少年は、その島を去ろうとするが・・・・。


この本も、自分が海外で先生だったころによく読んであげた本の一つですね。
有名な絵本です。
作者はモーリスセンダック。

LITTLE BUNNY FOO FOO

Little Bunny Foo Foo: A Cautionary Tale by the Good Fairy (2004/02) Paul Brett Johnson 商品詳細を見る Little bunny foo foo. A chinese imigrant boy in my school loved this story. When I was a teacher there. This little rabbit would never stop yunking his friends. Driving a shovel car and bopping big mud pies to his friends and keep messing around. The fairly king,which appears on the cover of the book, gave him 3 chances to stop mischieving. But the little bunny will never listen to him and finally used up all three chances. Then he turned into a GOON!! That just looks like a clown. With very simple story and out coming, children will have a big laugh.

英語の絵本ですが、とても面白いので推薦します。
子ウサギのフーフーは、いうことを聞かずいつも友達にいたずらをしています。
そんなおリ、
妖精の王様が
「いたずらをやめなさい、さもないとGOON（ばか）にしてしまうよ。」
といい、３回のチャンスを与えます。

しかし、フーフーはまったく聞く様子を見せず、
ショベルカーなんかを使って友達にドロ団子をぶつけまくります。（ウケる！！）

結局、妖精の王様はフーフーに魔法を掛けてGOONにしてしまいます。

動的で、
アクションがあって、
爽快感がある、
面白い絵本で大好きですね。

Snip Snap!: What\'s That? (2005/04) Mara Bergman 商品詳細を見る SNIP SNAP WHAT\'S THAT? This story is awesome. When I was working in a daycere, I occasionally read this story for children.As you act the voice most dramaticaly and create a beautiful scene while you are reading, the children must get involved in the story.Especially at the time which discribe the horrible scene the crocodile is coming close to the children, you should use most possible intimidating, lowest and terrifing voice.All children will love that!

英語の本です。
でも。
おススメです。

海外で先生をやってたころ、好きだった本で、
よく生徒に読んであげてました。

ワニがマンホールから出てきて、
３人の子どもしかいない家に侵入！

ワニは、
ドアを食い破り、
階段をヒシヒシとのぼっていく。

子どもたちはパニックで、
子ども部屋に隠れるが、
ワニはドアを開けて入ろうとする。

大きい２人の女の子はがんばってドアを抑えるんですが、
一番のちびの男の子は部屋の隅で隠れるだけ。

子どもたちはピアノの下へ避難！（なぜか、ピアノの上ではないんだな）

ワニはそのピアノさえも噛み砕こうとする。

そこで、

子どもたち３人は声を合わせて、

出て行け！！！

この声に驚いてワニは一目散に退散！


英語の絵本ですが、
難しくないです。
大人が練習して子どもに聞かせたらいいんじゃないでしょうか。
ワニが近づいてくるシーンでは、おどろおどろしく読むのが良いです。

やみつきです。

アマゾンで買おうかな、
なんて。

The crocodile is coming closer to you.

He starts ripping the cirtain, biting the door.
It is too much for the children, then they pull out their courage and shout against him.
