On the way back to my home yesterday, a simple yellow plastic board with The simpsons' Bart Simpson's picture cought my eyes. So that's why I unintentionally came in the funky toy shop nearby, which mostly youngster walking to and fro inside and normally never want to come in without specific business. I don't like Japanese animation because mostly animations we see in the TV currently are so cult like. They are quite sophisticated as well compared to them used be but on the other hand they have lost the other point of value that would pull wide range of interest among the viewer kids, broad appealing value. Right now we can see an animation program on the TV that is called Yatterman, Which I have never seen nor want to see, that was broadcasted 2 decades ago in our country and this time remade as a new program. I remember back in my kid's age that programa was well made and as a kid I realized that pulled many contemporary kids in the era's mind and sounded in their common sense deeply. We have learnt a lot from those old Japanese animation films and the knowledge and the experiences are living in our mind like a pillar. We generation xers and xer's junior( mostly from late 20s to late 30s) had many quality animation programs in our kid's age. Originally the Yatterman's characters were designed by a great creater Yoshitaka Amano whom I admire the most as a multi field creater, illustrater, artist who is also known as a designer of characters of F.F. series. In my kids age, the animation was seen by quite a high rate of same age children and in view of high ratings of viewership, it was well cared about its script and story. I am really unsure that the new film was considerd its script and story in view of its young viewers, children.Last time I heard was a Yatterman's counterpart accosted a kissing to the other counterpart on a boat floating on the river. I have never seen the new film though seemingly it doesn't sound well cared situation in the story to young viewers nor I have seen that kind of scene in the old one back in 20 years. However I can not judge or evaluate the new film with those limited infomation but it is clearly sure that we had great programs, which molded our basic value in our age.
The Simpsons is a prototype of contemporary American animation films and still chaging its style now.Fox channel is broadcasting the program every year and its company is making new version for next season. Some people say "season ** was the greatest but season ** was not great..." neverthless those evaluations, The Simpsons is runnning widely in the U.S. and its style was passed onto other contemporary animation films such as Family guy.
In the point of the stream line from older American TV animation, The Simpsons to the new one, Family guy, South park seems to be a bit of heresy. It included severe black humor like we see in The Simpsons or Family guy but the level of the severness was overly acrimony. It would never have been to seen to consider possible younger viewer ships even though it had rating limit of 15 years old.
I believe the TV programs made up to young viewers should be made for young viewers with the proper story with the right contents and script considered young viewers mind and understandings, on the other hand, however the TV programs aim at only adulthood like South park should be exsisted. In Japanese animation scene, I think we are weak in this part of culture. We are seemed to hold back from such strong poisonous humor. There are abundant in pervert animation fortages in Japan though, on contrary to my personal characteristics among my friendship, I really hate those type of pervert movies or videos.
I'm not sure how it is, the translations of Japanese one seems to be the one the unclearest. Even I don't understand what other version's song saying though.
